The Society was pleased to welcome Joy Pibworth of the Jane Austen Society to give a talk in the Pearson Hall on 21st March 2014. She covered the connections that the Austen and Leigh families had in Berkshire and the Thames Valley. Not least that Jane's uncle, Revd Edward Cooper, was Vicar of Sonning from 1784 until his death in 1792.
